The Popular Show Season Four Unveils the Soldiers Party
Since the launch of Campaign 4, recently appointed game master Brennan Lee Mulligan has kept fans guessing with rich lore, a wide array of characters, and a thrilling plot showcasing celestial beings, evil spirits, and malevolent powers growing in influence within the city.
Heads-up: Revealing details for Episode 3 of Campaign 4 follow below.
The Warrior Group Revealed
The third episode concluded with a dramatic pause and introduced the premier party of adventurers who will separate from the central cast to begin their separate journey, apart from the additional parties.
The combat-focused team includes Teor Pridesire (portrayed by the voice actor), Thimble (the talented performer), the fierce warrior (the cast member), Wicander (Sam), and the mysterious adventurer (Robbie Daymond).
Why Split the Party?
Given a large ensemble, it was obvious from the beginning that keeping everyone at one table would be unfeasible.
That’s why, the first four episodes of the new season serve as an Overture, intertwining the characters’ stories before splitting into three separate parties: Warriors, Planners, and Questers.
What Defines the Combat Party
According to the Dungeon Master, the Soldiers table is for players who enjoy a typically action-packed combat and conflict-driven narrative style where diplomatic options are scarce.
Upon first impression, figures such as the hesitant healer the cleric might seem unsuited, but the developments of episode 3 demonstrate why these specific adventurers are ideally matched for the combat party.
Why They Must Go
First, the team knows exactly where to go next after a brutal opening clash with the antagonists.
An old friend of Thjazi Fang—whose demise kicked off the narrative’s action—manipulated the foes for his selfish purposes, invading the hidden lair, assaulting the rogue, and taking all the enchanted items to dispose of.
Casimir then settled his debts and escaped to a Halovar stronghouse in Gormalay, Timmony, north of Dol-Makjar, with Cyd hot on his heels.
Personal Motivations
Secondly, each member has a personal reason to depart Dol-Makjar:
- Thimble, as the companion and closest confidant, desires vengeance.
- Kattigan knows the region and warns that it is a hostile environment.
- Tyranny and The cleric, having defied his house’s orders to execute Teor and instead saved him, have no safe haven.
- Yet, their status as prominent individuals in the powerful family could help the group reach areas they usually can’t.
- Moreover, Teor swore a life debt to The savior for his rescue and will now accompany him everywhere.
Fugitives
In addition, all of them are hunted by the powers that rule the city for a multiple motives, making remaining behind no longer safe:
- The agile adventurer and Kattigan are notorious outlaws.
- The strong figure and The cleric turned against the influential house and the army of fiends they are partnered with.
- The fighter is wanted dead by the family.
This leaves them no alternative but to head to the northern region in pursuit of the antagonist.
What’s Next?
Based on the latest episode’s post-show segment, we learn that the combat party won’t be around next week, leaving the remaining eight participants to round up the Explorers and Planners parties.
